I’ve had a great experience with Monster Mortgage over the past three years. When I first worked with them, they helped me secure my mortgage through a B lender based on my circumstances at the time. They were supportive, knowledgeable, and made me feel that they genuinely cared about finding the right solution for me.

Renew/refinance because mortgage was due for renewal   Broker I had used.for 13 yrs said you have to sell, prime was 5.25.  Existing was 3%.  new rate offered from Monster was 7.8%. Got approved and little cash in pocket  new rate was 7.8 so mortgage payments had become 5945$ a month. Up from around 2500$.  Rates can’t be changed and affects every Canadian. On paper with salaries my wife and could barely cover payment.   Thing is all debt wasnt cleared up. With mortgage they was no way cc payment could be made. So exited “ you’re approved “ was said and the next 16 months my wife and I scraped by, robbing Peter to pay Paul and missed 1 payment.  Then 12k was due and just like that house was foreclosed. I’m not saying mortgage couldn’t be paid if every last dollar was paid to mortgage neglecting other min payments on existing debt.  My point is we should not have qualified and been advised that we don’t make enough money to sustain payment for everything. My thought is losing commission by telling us to walk or sell or simply no would have given possibility to sell and get something and not loose house of 16 yrs and probably getting sued for losses now  it took when sold for under market price. Cheapest house sold in area in last 5 yrs and wasn’t a gut job. ( ie all hardwood, bathroom updated, quartz counters all in last 3 yrs done)
Feel were weren’t advised properly and didn’t want to hear truth as was stated by long time broker. Who was shocked we got approved base on debt ratio.

Happy Saturday Kristian & Surendra.! Thank-you so much, Surendra, for staying on top of our mortgage process for us. We are so happy about National Bank taking us on as their Client. People have noticed the change in both my husband & myself, as we look like the world has been lifted off our shoulders. We both feel like we can physically breathe again. We didn't realize how much the extra debt was literally weighing on us.

I have a story to tell you, Surendra.  Before I contacted Kristian to help us, I had actually visited a National Bank Branch in Heartland, asking them if they could switch out our Chip Mortgage to them.
My sister in Newfoundland, worked for National Bank for years, and she told me that of all of the "Big 6 Banks", that National Bank was the most "Human". The young lady at National Bank, who was working with us, her name was Aman, was doing everything to help us because she really wanted it to work. She worked on our file for approximately a month, tirelessly, but in the end the underwriters couldn't approve it. I then told my husband that I was going to contact Monster Mortgage, because I saw your Ad on CP24, and the Ad stated, "When the Banks turn you away, come to us."
I knew our house wasn't going to sell, Surendra, because the market is saturated right now, plus TD Bank told me to take our home off the market & wait for 3 years, because Donald Trump in the USA was ruining everything for everybody. Then Kristian scheduled you to do a phone call with us, & you told us that you would have a Lender for us within 2 days. When you came to our home on March 29, Surendra, and you told us that National Bank was willing to help us, my husband & I were so delighted. After you left our home that day. I told my husband that this is not a coincidence, and that we had to do whatever the National Bank wanted us to do. So, I call it "Fate". I totally believe that it all worked out the way it did, because we are exactly where we are supposed to be right now.

Thank-you so much Kristian & Surendra from the bottom of our hearts,  for saving us...😥We would refer anyone directly to the two of you...🌹Keep on doing what you are both doing...You change people's lives.! Have a wonderful summer & God Bless you both.!

Working with Karen Mann at Monster Mortgage to secure my first mortgage was an outstanding experience. Everyone is key, no doubt: from the Lawyer, to the Banker, insurance broker, et al; but Karen was our first step and we were so glad we connected with her. She had a clear understanding of the realities of working in the film industry, especially during a period affected by strikes, where income can be unpredictable.

Despite the complexity of our situation, Karen guided us through a months-long process with steady reassurance and excellent communication. She was proactive, transparent, and consistently made us feel confident in every step we took.
